In re Catherine Connors
On October 11, 2024, the Committee on Judicial Conduct (the body that independently investigates alleged violations of the Maine Code of Judicial Conduct) filed with the Executive Clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court a report regarding Catherine R. Connors, an associate justice of the Supreme Judicial Court. The work of the Committee on Judicial Conduct is non-public in its investigatory stages, but once the Committee files a report, the court proceedings are public.
On November 14, 2024, the Court issued an order remanding the matter back to the Committee.
On December 16, 2024, the Committee filed an "amended" report that has been docketed as a second report and has been assigned Supreme Judicial Court docket number Jud-24-3.
The Maine Judicial Branch has set up this web page to post the public filings and orders on the cases. We want to ensure the public's full and timely access to information related to the proceedings. We will be posting documents as soon as they become available.
All public documents will be provided here and will not be provided by the clerk's office. Please check this web page often for updates and documents related to the cases.
Case information and public documents below will be removed from the website once the case is no longer active or considered of great interest to the media and the public.
