Getting Started with eFileMaine
- eFile Submission Requirements. BEFORE YOU USE EFILEMAINE TO SUBMIT DOCUMENTS TO THE COURT, read the eFile Submission Requirements. Attempting to file documents without an understanding of the submission requirements will increase the risk of a rejection of your envelope.

General Information and Instructions
- Removing Security from Court Forms. To successfully upload forms into eFileMaine, first remove security from the pdf document. See instructions for Mac and PC users below.

- Case Search Identifiers. The case search identifier, or docket number, is used in eFileMaine to access the electronic case file and to submit an electronic filing.
- Service Contacts Guidance for eFileMaine Users. All persons submitting documents to the court through eFileMaine are required to enter their electronic service contact information into the system. Registering as a user and adding attorneys to an account does NOT enter service contact information. For further information about entering service contacts on eFileMaine and step-by-step instructions, see the Service Contacts Guidance for eFileMaine Users.
Case Type-Specific Information
These guides list the most commonly filed submissions in each case type. The correct eFileMaine Filing Code is included for each Lead Document, as well as how to properly upload attachments.

Filing-Specific Information
